An art project intended to bring new life to the area around Hamamatsu Station. Nadegata Instant Party – the deliberately off-beat unit of Tohru Nakazaki, Daisuke Yamashiro and Tomoko Noda – staged Hamamatsu Third Party, a full-day event conceived as a single work combining talks, catering and more. People active in Hamamatsu were invited to talk about the city with Nadegata Instant Party and with an artificial-intelligence robot named “Mr. Third Party”. The premise was that the robot knows nothing whatsoever about Hamamatsu; by having it speak, the project set out to surface things that even local residents had not known and found interesting. Alongside the talks there were tours through the streets, and food and drink stands at the venue.
