Summary
Following the Towada Art Center, this commission covered planning for the city’s second museum facility together with regional revitalisation in the Oirase Yakeyama area. Where the contemporary art museum sits in the city centre, this new facility was conceived for the Oirase Yakeyama area near Lake Towada, rich in nature, as a driver of local activity. The site covered a large undeveloped area, and the work included site surveys, interviews with residents, planning drawings and full documentation.
