Summary
A collaboration linking “Umajin”, born in Towada City in Aomori Prefecture – a region famous for horse breeding – with the historic Yokohama Bashamichi (“horse-carriage street”). In the first part children made their own Umajin; in the second they rehearsed a performance with a dancer; and finally they put on their Umajin and took the performance out into the streets. Participants took their Umajin home with them at the end.
