Summary
A project of the City of Yokohama, which promotes creative city policy, covering the facility and operational planning – and the running – of a creative centre housed in a bank building constructed in 1929. Working across art, design, community and industry, YCC delivers a wide range of programmes including exhibitions, workshops and talks. The building contains a cafe, coworking space and a digital fabrication workshop, and is intended as a place where people can encounter new things and new events. It is the central facility of Yokohama’s creative city policy; since 2015 Tetsuyuki Nagata, representative of offsociety, has served as its director and has also managed its operation.
