Summary
The sixth edition of YCC Temporary presented archival recordings of past performances by Dumb Type, the internationally acclaimed artist collective. Screened in the first-floor gallery were pH (1990-95), first staged in 1990 and the work that brought Dumb Type to international attention, which takes consumer society as its subject, and S/N (1994-96), which addresses questions of race, nationality and sexuality. The screenings were accompanied by live sound operation from Toru Yamanaka, who composed the music for both original productions, synchronising live sound with the recorded footage.
